depth: 20 feet
type: shore, docks
The History:
The docks were built in 1812 and renovated in 1837. A rail link to Ottawa (Bytown) was opened December 25, 1854 and a round trip cost $2. From then on the docks mostly served to ferry cargo on to the adjoining train yard. The Canada Pacific Rail Road Company took control of the train yard in 1884 until they were closed in the 1970's.

The experience:
It is a little bit of a hike from the parking lot, so you might want to bring a dolly for your heavier items. Enter in between the two docks and descend to roughly 20' depth.
